The Cake Wallet team have secured the Monero.com domain, and announced the release of the Monero.com app, a Monero-only fork of Cake Wallet! If you are after a dedicated Monero wallet for android or iOS, be sure to check them out.
Additionally, Seth Simmons has made a great video on how to use Cake Wallet or the Monero.com wallet to make change for yourself (split up outputs) to avoid having to wait for change before making a second transaction. Watch it here.
xmrvsbeast made a proposal to integrate p2pool mining into Monero GUI Wallet. This will enable users to mine on p2pool right from the GUI wallet with one click. Check out this post for more information.
gingeropolous urged Monero users to check your transaction fee before spending and run your own node, as a user recently posted that their Monero transaction went through with a gigantic fee of 3.93 XMR. More information can be found here.
It is highly recommended you solo mine to help secure the network. You can solo mine via the official Monero GUI wallet which can be found here, or better yet partake in pool mining and join the decentralized and permissionless P2Pool.

The android wallet team at Monerujo are developing Sidekick. Sidekick is an android app that you will be able install on an old, unused phone, which then gets permanently taken offline to secure a cold seed and sign transactions offline. More information can be found here.

Chad Thackray is a software developer specializing in automated trading systems and data science, who also runs an up and coming YouTube channel that focuses on analyzing cryptocurrency data such as on-chain transactions and market prices. LocalMonero.co, a peer-to-peer exchange which facilitates the sale of XMR for cold hard cash, clarified that the dead canary on their website means theyāve received law enforcement requests. They assured users it doesnāt mean anything else.
Community Crowdfunding
Several crowdfunding proposals are awaiting community feedback before they can start accepting funds through the Community Crowdfunding System (CCS). For now they are just proposals, but if they receive some positive feedback from the community they will be moved to a āFunding Requiredā stage so that they can accept Monero donations through the CCS.
The organisers of the MoneroKon 2022 conference are seeking funding. This is a great initiative so lend them some support over on the CCS page here. Additional information can be found here.
Monero Bounties is a relatively newer website in which Monero users can support contributors and developers.
