The Graphical User Interface (GUI) wallet v0.13.0.4 Beryllium Bullet has been released. This release fixes prior Ledger wallet issues some users experienced. It also includes a guide to assist users. Download links can be found here.
The Command Line Interface (CLI) wallet v0.13.0.4 Beryllium Bullet ARMv8 binaries have been added to the downloads page. Find them here.
The Monero Research Lab’s Dr Sarang Noether delivered his monthly research report for October. You can read the report here.
There has been a call made for Monero users to upgrade their Monero wallets to v0.13.0.4 as soon as possible. Midvia “noticed that my Monero GUI on Windows has only been selecting mixin decoys from October 17th and older revealing the real input as the most recent one after October 17th. Reviewing a block explorer shows the same issues on many randomly selected transactions”. Further information regarding this issue can be found here.

XMRWallet.com have fully upgraded to v0.13.0.4 Beryllium Bullet.
Mario Dian published How to Setup Monero Wallet with Trezor Model T ahead of Schedule. If you are new to cryptocurrency, you may find it easier waiting for an official release.
The Edgewallet app has not yet upgraded to support the recent protocol upgrade, however their Monero wallet will be upgraded in their next release. If you need to access your XMR you can retrieve the mnemonic seed and restore it in another wallet. In the app, click the three dots to the right of your wallet and select Master Private Key.
Open Monero, a fully open sourced implementation of the MyMonero backend, shared some progress they have been making in developing their web wallet. Check them out over on Github.
i2p-dab shared documents regarding how to configure the Monero daemon monerod as an I2P hidden service. You can find links to the papers here.
Noether’s Gate, a tool for conducting cryptocurrency transactions over the BitMessage network, was revealed. It is basically a transaction proxy on a steroids as the BitMessage network is metadata free in which hundreds of nodes are just reposting messages. Check out their Github page for more information.
The Monero Localization Workgroup recently celebrated its first birthday. The workgroup aims to promote worldwide Monero adoption, and endeavors to achieve this via organizing volunteers to assist with language translations. So far they have translated various major Monero projects into 30 different languages and has proven to be enormously successful. In addition, The Monero Ecosystem Project has continued to grow and recently added a new repository: submit-tx-via-tor.
Bisq are offering a 500 BSQ bounty for writing a clearly thought out proposal regarding how to integrate a Monero wallet into Bisq. The bounty is for writing the proposal itself, not for coding the actual implementation itself.
Test out Monero multisig transactions on the Mainnet of a Monero friendly fork. For nearly a year now rbrunner7 has worked on a project called MMS which aims to make Monero multisig transactions much easier than they currently are. If you would like to help test multisig transactions, check out this post for more information.

Dr Sarang will be giving two talks at the Bitcoin and Open Blockchain community meetup in Chicago this week. The Dive into Monero workshop will take place on Thursday the 8th of November, and Privacy and fungibility: how a blockchain does it (and doesn’t) is scheduled for Saturday the 10th of November.

Tracing Transactions Across Cryptocurrency Ledgers was published by a group of academics. It revealed that simply by shifting into and out of a privacy coin through a service such as Shapeshift does not greatly increase a user’s privacy. If the paper is too hard to digest, check out the comments in this post for simple explanations.
Monero’s Faketoshi saga further developed over the past week, with a number of cryptocurrency focused news outlets investigating the story. Blokt and Breaker both published stories ousting Ezekiel Osborne as a fraud and speculate whether Forbes Middle East had been paid to publish the article.
Exchanges and Merchants
Following suit of other major cryptocurrency exchanges, Kraken have now lowered XMR withdrawal fees to 0.0001 XMR.
Huobi launched XMR/USDT trading pairs. XMR/BTC trading pairs are coming soon.
LocalMonero now have a Spanish translation. LocalMonero are just like Local Bitcoins where you can buy and sell your Monero utilizing a variety of different transaction methods such as cash in mail.
There is a new electronics store called MoneroIt. At the moment it primarily sells drones and cameras and accepts XMR, along with a few other cryptocurrencies.
MyCryptoCheckout released a cryptocurrency payment gateway for WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads. You can use their service to receive XMR directly into your wallet.
u/jin1608 reported that they had issues using ChangeNOW.io and WalletMONERO.com. It is recommended you do not use WalletMonero, and instead use a legitimate wallet which can be found listed here. If using ChangeNOW, please be aware there have been reports of user issues, so you may want to consider using a service such as MorphToken.com or XMR.to instead.
Oracle Times published ShapeShift Crypto Exchange Is No Longer Annonymous — Users Are Turning To MorphToken As A Viable Alternative To Get Monero (XMR). While ShapeShift in a convenient and easy to use, consider using a different service and strategies if you require enhanced privacy.
